Hello Sauras, this is Principal Chris Bottoms with an important message regarding the bullying reporting policy changes. Our aim is to empower students, teachers, and parents to take a stand against bullying and create a culture of kindness and respect. We believe the safety and well-being of our students are of utmost importance. All school websites have a direct link to the safety/bullying tip hotline. We are implementing increased punishment, including loss of extracurricular activities for students who violate the district bullying and harassment policy. Details about updated consequences will be sent home in a letter from Dr. Brad Rice later this week. Additionally, middle and high school students involved in extracurricular activities, including athletics will need to complete the extracurricular anti-bullying contract by September 18. The contract can be accessed through DragonFly for student-athletes and from the school website, club sponsor, or the front office for students participating in other extracurricular activities. We appreciate your assistance in maintaining a safe nurturing environment where all students can thrive academically and socially. This week at South Stokes is Club week, students will have an opportunity during lunch to discover different clubs at South Stokes High School. Please encourage your child to be an active and engaged member of our Saura community. The Athletic Boosters will be meeting on Monday night at 6:30 in the cafeteria at South Stokes. Please look on the school website at the events calendar to see this week's athletic events. Thank you for your support of South Stokes High School, and as always, GO SAURAS!
