Saura Weekly Update 8/21/23 - 8/25/23

Hello Sauras, this is your weekly update from South Stokes. This Tuesday, August 22nd, Freshman Orientation will be at 4:00 pm. We ask that freshman parents plan to stay for 15 to 20 minutes after they drop off their children in order to sign Chromebook agreement forms, and to find bus information if needed. Freshman Open House will begin at 6:00. This open house time is also for any new students to South Stokes. We will be running on a bell schedule, with Freshman families rotating through their fall classes. 10th-12th grade Open house will be on Wednesday August 23rd, with two floating sessions to choose from, one from 9-11, and the other from 1-3. It is highly recommended that families pay fees online, however, you can pay in cash at open house. Families may attend the open house session that works best with your families schedule. This week in Saura sports, on Monday volleyball hosts Millennium. On Tuesday, tennis hosts Alleghany. On Wednesday volleyball travels to West Stokes. On Thursday, volleyball travels to Glenn, tennis travels to Mt. Airy, soccer travels to Bishop McGuinness, and JV Football is against North Surry. Due to the track project, this game will be played at West Stokes. This Friday, varsity football travels to North Surry. A look ahead, Monday Aug. 28th is the first day of school.
