Saura Weekly Update 6/3/24 - 6/7/24

Hello Sauras, this is the last weekly update from South Stokes for the 23-24 school year. Exams continue this week with 2nd period exams on Monday, 3rd period exams on Tuesday, 4th period exams on Wednesday and make-up exams on Thursday. During the exam period students are allowed to leave school after their exam for the day if they bring a note dismissing them, however the buses will not dismiss until the end of the school day at 3:20. If your child is a bus rider and would like to leave after their exam, they will need a note giving them permission to ride home with another student or be picked up after their exam. If your child is exempt from this exam, they do not need to attend. Students taking state required EOC and CTE tests cannot be exempt from exams. If you have any questions about exams and exemptions, please call the school or email me. Thursday will be an early dismissal at 12:20 for students making up exams. We will be having our Graduation Ceremony at South Stokes in our football stadium at 7:00 pm on Friday June 7th. This week's Saura Shout Out goes to Zac King. Zac King has been an inspiration to other peers in the class with tips and encouragement on staying motivated to get classwork completed. Zac has shown leadership in guiding other classmates to by verbalizing what works for success. I hope our Saura families have a great summer.
