Hello Sauras, this is Mr. Bottoms with your weekly update from South Stokes. This Tuesday our Seniors will be giving back to our local elementary schools with our Saura Seniors Serve trip. On Wednesday the National Honor Society will be having an induction ceremony for its newest members in the media center at South Stokes at 6:00 pm. Friday, May 20th we will be having our Awards Ceremony at South Stokes in the main gym, beginning at 9:00 am. We invite the parents and families of our seniors to join us in recognizing their hard work and success. we will also be streaming the ceremony on social media. Friday afternoon we will be having the South Stokes Talent Show, good luck to all of our performers. Friday evening in the back gym the South Stokes FFA will be having their annual banquet at 6:00 pm. With a look ahead Exams will begin 5/26/22 and will run through the end of school on June 2nd. All exam days will be an early dismissal day, with school dismissing at 12:20. In Saura sports we would like to congratulate our track team for their great performance at regionals and we wish Jalle Brown the best of luck as she advances to the State Finals. We would also like to congratulate our Lady Sauras Soccer team for being named tri-champions of the NW1A Conference after defeating Mt. Airy last week! On Monday soccer has an at home playoff game against Hayesville. This Tuesday, Baseball continues with a third round home play off game against Mt. Airy and Softball travels to Robbinsville in their third round play off game.
