Hello Sauras, this is your weekly update from South Stokes. On Monday our AP Calculus students will be taking the AP Exam, students taking this exam should come prepared and be at the school library at 7:30 am. Monday at 6:30 the Athletic Boosters club will be meeting in the cafeteria. On Tuesday, student athletes will have an opportunity to receive their sports physical at South from 12:00 to 3:20. On Wednesday our Seniors will be going to our feeder elementary schools for Saura Seniors Serve day. This trip begins with the Saura Graduate walk through the halls of the school, and then our seniors work on a service project for the school. After, they go to Horizons park to celebrate their upcoming graduation. After school on Wednesday, we will be having a school improvement team meeting. Thursday at 7pm we will be having our Spring Band Concert at South Stokes. Looking ahead, our National Honor Society Induction Ceremony will be on May 22 at 6:30 in the library and our Awards Day Ceremony will be on May 24 at 9:00 am in the main gym. This week's Saura Shout Out goes to Jake Lozzi. Jake is donating his time and serving his community for the second year in a row by coaching a recreational soccer team for the Stokes United Football Club. Jake is an excellent role model and making a difference in the lives of many future Sauras. Thank you for your kindness and leadership. This week in Saura Sports, on Monday soccer travels to Bishop McGuinness for the first round of the State playoffs. Good luck to Sawyer Slate as he competes in the State Golf Tournament at Pinehurst this week, and to Laci Morefield and Kymani Brown as they compete in the State Track Meet in Greensboro this Saturday.
