Saura Weekly Update 4/3/23-4/7/23

Hello Sauras, this is your weekly update from South Stokes. On Monday we will have homeroom to distribute third quarter report cards. Spring Break begins this Friday April 7th and students will return to school on Monday, April 17th. This week our South Stokes March Madness Attendance Challenge concludes as we see the Final showdown between Mrs. Holland's Homeroom and Ms. Tudor's Homeroom. The homeroom that wins the tournament will get an off campus lunch. Please encourage your child to come to school. This Thursday we will be having our Spring Blast at South Stokes. We will have guest speakers in the morning and an afternoon of fun. This week is also Assistant Principal Recognition Week! Thank you Assistant Principal Luke Jones for your hard work and dedication to the students of South Stokes. This week's Saura Shout Out goes to senior Addison Flynt. Addison will be attending Wake Forest in the fall and has been awarded the Magnolia Scholars Program scholarship! Congratulations Addison! This week in Saura sports, congratulations to Jalee Brown for finishing 5th in the 100m making the TOP 10 time in the state and 10th in the 200m, cracking the NC TOP 25. on Monday baseball hosts North Surry. On Tuesday tennis hosts Mount Airy, soccer travels to Piney Grove Middle school to play North Stokes and Softball travels to Elkin. On Wednesday tennis hosts East Wilkes and baseball travels to Langtree Charter. On Thursday track is at home, tennis hosts Elkin and soccer travels to Elkin. On Friday baseball travels to Surry Central and softball travels to Alleghany.
