Saura Weekly Update 4/29/24 - 5/3/24

Hello Sauras, this is your weekly update from South Stokes. I hope everyone had a great Spring Break, students will return on Monday, April 29th. On Monday we will have Homeroom to pass out Prom Tickets. The South Stokes Junior Senior Prom will be this Saturday, May 4th, from 7-11pm at Luna's Trail Farm and Event Center in Westfield. On Tuesday there will be an Athletic Boosters Club meeting at 6:30 in the cafeteria. On Friday several of our students will be participating in and volunteering in the Special Olympics. This week's Saura Shout Out goes to Kallyn Kiger. Kallyn saw a need for supplies in her classroom and she volunteered to get supplies and donated them to the class. Thank you for your kindness and leadership. This week in Saura Sports, on Monday softball hosts Mount Airy in the first round of the Conference tournament and soccer travels to Mount Airy. On Tuesday, baseball hosts North Stokes for the first round of the conference tournament and soccer hosts Elkin. The rest of the tournaments will be played at Starmount for softball and North Stokes for baseball. On Thursday soccer hosts Alleghany and the track team will go to North Stokes for the Conference track meet.
