Hello Sauras, this is your weekly update from South Stokes. There will be a SIT Meeting on Wednesday after school in room D3. We are still looking for a parent representative to be a member of the SIT. Please reach out to the school if you are interested. On Friday, students will have homeroom in order to get schedule verification forms for next year and to get the time and to learn the day and time they will participate in the NC Be Pro, Be Proud Workforce Event. This event will be on March 27th, 28th and April 2nd. Students will rotate through a trailer that has simulated skilled job experiences. The interest meeting for the 2025 Dominican Republic trip that was scheduled for this Wednesday has been postponed. Once a make up date has been determined, we will share it. The SSHS Athletics $10,000 Cash Give Away is this Saturday March 23rd, at 6:00 pm. Tickets are $100 and include a meal for too. Please help support all of our athletics. You can reach out to the school if you are interested in getting a ticket for this annual event. This week's Saura Shout Out goes to Lola Edwards. Lola gifted teachers and friends with some amazing crocheted work. Thank you for your kindness and leadership. This week in Saura Sports, on Monday, golf plays at Hemlock and soccer travels to play North Surry, but the match will be at Gentry Middle School. On Tuesday, baseball travels to Mount Airy, tennis hosts Elkin, softball travels to East Wilkes and soccer hosts Walkertown. On Wednesday baseball travels to Surry Central, golf is at Hemlock and softball hosts East Forsyth. On Thursday soccer travels to East Wilkes, tennis hosts Alleghany, and softball travels to West Stokes. On Friday baseball hosts Mt. Airy.
