Hello Sauras, this is Mr. Bottoms with your weekly update from South Stokes. Monday night is Saura Spirit Nigh at the Dairi-o in King. Please come out and support our school by getting a meal from 5-8. Also on Monday night our Athletic Boosters are meeting at 6:30 in the school cafeteria. Driver Education enrollment opens March 14th and closes March 25th. The roster will be posted in the office and on the school website on March 29th. Parents please read all information on the school website concerning driver's ed, to make sure your child is available to attend class. On Tuesday March 15th we will be having make ups for the ACT at South. On March 16th South Stokes will be having a blood drive in the back gym from 8:30-1:30. If you are able to please come out and donate. On Friday students will have a Remote Learning Day. Teachers will be holding Google Meets with students in the morning to answer any questions students may have for that day's assignments. First period will meet at 8:00, 2nd at 8:10, 3rd at 8:20 and 4th at 10:00. March 18th is also the end of the third quarter. In Saura sports on Monday softball will be at East Surry. On Tuesday Baseball and softball are home against Alleghany, Tennis is home against Elkin, Golf plays at Hemlock and soccer travels to Reagan. On Wednesday baseball travels to Walkertown High School. On Thursday Tennis is home against Alleghany, and on Friday Baseball travels to Alleghany, softball travels to Mt. Airy, and soccer is home against Glenn.
