Saura Weekly Update 3/13/23-3/17/23

Hello Sauras, this is your weekly update from South Stokes. This week our South Stokes March Madness Attendance Challenge continues as our Sweet Sixteen Homerooms compete this week to advance to next week's Elite Eight. The homeroom that wins the tournament will get an off campus lunch. Please encourage your child to come to school. On Tuesday there will be a band booster meeting at 6:30 pm in the band room. Wednesday we will be having our spring Blood Drive from 8:30 am - 1:30 pm. Students can sign up for times during lunch on Monday and Tuesday. A reminder that the SSHS Athletics Boosters $10,000 Give Away is coming up on Saturday March 25th. It's not too late to support all of our athletic programs by purchasing a ticket for $100. A meal for two is included with the purchase, contact the school for a ticket. This week's Saura Shout Out goes to our custodial staff here at South Stokes. Our custodians have had two members of their team out for an extended amount of time, and they have had to pull together to keep our campus clean. Parents, please ask your children to help our custodial staff by remembering to throw away their trash and to keep our restrooms clean. This week in Saura sports, on Monday Tennis plays Surry Central at home and soccer hosts West Stokes. On Tuesday tennis hosts McMichael and Softball hosts Alleghany. On Wednesday Softball travels to Western Alamance. On Thursday baseball travels to West Stokes and soccer hosts Surry Central. On Friday softball hosts Mt. Airy and baseball travels to Alleghany.
