Hello Sauras, this is your weekly update from South Stokes. Tomorrow is a Teacher Workday and school will be out Monday 2/20/23. Students return to school on Tuesday. On Wednesday there will be a Senior parent meeting in the cafeteria at 6:00 pm to discuss this year's graduation ceremony. Seniors and senior parents unable to attend will be able to provide their input about graduation through a Google survey that will be available on the school website this Thursday. This Thursday students at South will have an opportunity to watch a performance of Mr. Lincoln's Office during first and second period at South Stokes. Yearbooks are on sale until this Friday, February 24th. This will be your last chance to order the yearbook. Yearbooks can be purchased on the Jostens website. Call or email Mrs. Rogers if you have any questions. Thee Spring Driver Education class will be March 28,29,30,31, April 3, and 4th. To participate students must be born on or before 9/28/2008. Open Enrollment is 2/21/23-3/2/23, and the student names will be posted on 3/3/23. Please read all information about drivers education on the school website to make sure your child will be able to attend. This week's Saura Shout Out goes to the Men's Varsity Basketball team on the outstanding season they have had. Back to Back Conference and Conference Tournament Championships, great job!. This week in Saura sports, both women's and men's basketball teams have playoff games this week. On Tuesday the Lady Sauras travel to North Rowan and the Men's basketball team host Uwharrie Charter at South. Congratulations to our wrestlers Cohen Jennings and Isaac Nelson for the good showing in the state tournament.
