Hello Sauras, this is Mr. Bottoms with your weekly update from South Stokes. Happy Valentines Day to our Saura families. February 14th - 18th is Love the Bus Week also known as Bus Driver Appreciation Week, thank you to all of our bus drivers for the great job they do for our students at South Stokes. This Wednesday, February 16th we will be having our SIT meeting in room D6. In Saura sports, this week marks the beginning of our spring sports season. The basketball conference tournament is this week. The tournament will be held at Starmount High School. The girls basketball team will be playing on Tuesday at 4:30 against Elkin. Men's basketball won the conference championship and have a bye the first round. We will post to social media and the website the day and time of their first game in the tournament. With a look ahead, next week is Future Farmers of America Week at South Stokes. Each day will have special events and themes in honor of FFA. On February 22 South Stokes will be hosting a Career Fair so that our students can see the great career opportunities available to them in our community. March 1st is Future and Fun Day at South Stokes High School. We will have guest speakers and future-focused activities lined up for our students in the morning with fun and engaging activities in the afternoon.
