Saura Weekly Update 12/19/22 - 12/31/22

Hello Sauras, this is your weekly update from South Stokes. This week is a short week, students will have an Early Dismissal on Wednesday, 12/21/22 at 12:20. Christmas Break will last from 12/22/23 - 1/3/23. School will resume on January 4th, 2023. This week's Saura Shout Out goes to South Stokes CDC Teacher and coach, Matt Weaver. Coach Weaver works with students to be successful while in CDC and with credit recovery. We appreciate his hard work and dedication to South Stokes High School and our students, thank you. This week and over the break in Saura Sports, on Tuesday the Girls basketball team will be playing against Surry Home Educators at the Sanctuary in Mt. Airy. Also on Tuesday, our new Head Football Coach Justin Rogers will be holding a Meet the Coach cook out at 6:00pm. Hot dogs and refreshments will be served. Starting on Wednesday the boys varsity basketball team will be participating in the Frank Spencer Holiday Classic at R.J. Reynolds High School. The cost of admission is $10. On Thursday Wrestling will be at North Iredell. On December 27th South Stokes will be hosting a JV basketball Tournament that will run through the 29th.
