Saura Weekly Update 12/12/22-12/16/22

Hello Sauras, this is your weekly update from South Stokes. This week is Holiday Spirit Week at South Stokes and our students are going to help celebrate this wonderful time each day this week with different themes. Monday is Pajama Day, Tuesday is Candy Cane day (upperclassmen wear red, lowerclassmen wear white). Wednesday is Ugly Sweater Day, Thursday is Tree Topper Day, students wear fun holiday hats, and Friday is Flannel and Fuzzy Socks Day. Monday night at 6:30 there will be an Athletic Boosters Meeting at South Stokes. On Wednesday we will be having our School improvement Team meeting at South Stokes in room D3 at 3:30. On Saturday, the band will be performing at the Old Salem German Christmas Market. With a look ahead, Christmas Break is almost here, and students will have an Early Dismissal next Wednesday, 12/21/22 at 12:20. This week's Saura Shout Out goes to South Stokes PE Teacher, wrestling, and cross country coach, Chad Amos. Coach Amos did an outstanding job preparing for the Joe Via Memorial Wrestling Tournament. We appreciate his hard work and dedication to South Stokes High School and our students, thank you. This week in Saura Sports, on Monday Indoor Track is at Millennium, Swim is at Alleghany. On Tuesday Basketball is home against Mount Airy, on Wednesday basketball is home against McMichael. On Thursday, wrestling is hosting East Wilkes, and Friday basketball is home against East Wilkes. On Saturday wrestling is at Lexington High School, and indoor track is at COROS Holiday.
