Saura Weekly Update 11/7/22 - 11/11/22

Hello Sauras, this is Mr. Bottoms with your weekly update from South Stokes. This week will be a shorter one as students will not have school on Tuesday for a teacher work day and students will not have school on Friday in honor of Veterans Day. Thank you to all of our veterans in the South Stokes Saura family. On Monday we will have homeroom in order to distribute 1st quarter report cards. This week I would like to send a Saura Shout out to Morgan Spencer and other cast members of the Living Storybook's Alice in Wonderland performances. Due to illness hitting the cast, several Saura actors and actresses had to play parts they were not originally intended to play, but the show must go on, thank you. This week in Saura Sports, winter sports are continuing to begin practices. Congratulations to the soccer team for a great season and for making it to the second round of the state playoffs. Congratulations to Haley Tyndall on finishing 20th in the NC State Golf Championship a few weeks ago, and congratulations to Haley Fultz and her performance in the state finals for Cross Country. Congratulations to our Saura football on a great season, and for making it to the first round of the state playoffs. Finally, thank you to Head Football Coach Dave Diamont for the hard work and dedication he has shown our students in the years he has been here at South Stokes. We wish him well in his retirement.
