Saura Weekly Update 11/4/24 - 11/8/24

Hello Sauras! This is Chris Bottoms with your Saura Weekly Update. On Monday at 6:30 the Athletic Boosters Club will be meeting in the cafeteria. Tuesday is a Teacher Workday, so students will not have school. On Wednesday, South Stokes will be having a schoolwide assembly from 8:30-9:30 to honor the Veterans in the South Stokes community. On Thursday, some of our Seniors will be taking the Workkeys assessment. This is a required test for seniors that have completed a CTE pathway. Students received notification last week if this applies to them. If you have any questions about workkeys, please reach out to Assistant Principal Ashley Nowlin. This Friday, after lunch the Kona Ice truck will be on campus, and students will be given the chance to get an icy treat. This week's Saura Shout Out goes to Olivia Hurd. Olivia holds the door to F-building everyday, for all students when they return back from lunch. She asked to take over the duty, and it is appreciated. Thank you Olivia, for your kindness and leadership. This week in Saura Sports, Fall sport soccer and football seasons have been extended due to the hurricane that hit the mountains, so we are waiting to see where some of our teams will be playing in the state playoffs. Winter sports have began tryouts, students that have not completed the required forms on Dragonfly, need to make sure they are completed.
