Hello Sauras, this is your weekly update from South Stokes. The next driver education class will be on January 4th, 5th, 6th, 9th, 10th, and 12th of 2023. Eligible students must be born on or before July 4th, 2008. The enrollment period is December 1st - 13th, selected candidates will be posted on Dec. 15th, payment by December 21st. Parents be sure to read all information on the Drivers Education page on our website to make sure your child will be able to attend. On Tuesday our sophomores will be taking the Pre ACT at South Stokes. On Tuesday night at 6:30 there will be a band booster meeting in the band room. On Thursday students that had three or less absences, three or less tardies, and no office referrals for the first quarter will receive a treat at lunch. Please encourage your children of the importance of coming to school, being on time, and following our behavior expectations. On Friday we will be having a PEP Rally in preparation for our home basketball game against West Stokes, and to recognize all of our winter athletes. This weekend our JROTC Cadets will be marching in the King Parade on Saturday, and our Saura Band will be rocking the Christmas Spirit at the Walnut Cove Tree Lighting on Saturday evening. This week's Saura Shout Out goes to our school receptionist, Cindy Mitchell. Mrs. Mitchell does a great job welcoming students, families, and guests to South Stokes, and keeps our front office running smooth, thank you. This week in Saura Sports, on Monday basketball is away at McMichael. On Tuesday wrestling is at Forbush. On Wednesday basketball is home against North Surry.
