Saura Weekly Update 11/20/23 - 11/24/23

Hello Sauras, this is your weekly update from South Stokes. This week is a short week, school is out for Thanksgiving beginning on Wednesday, 11/22/23. Students return to school on Monday, 11/27/23. On Monday at 6:00 pm we will be holding a 9th grade parent night. This event will include services and opportunities available to students and families as they begin to think about their 4 year plans. Our Gift Basket donation fundraiser will be wrapping up this Tuesday. Raffle tickets cost $5, and the winners will be drawn at the West Stokes vs South Stokes basketball game on Tuesday night. The different baskets are on display in the trophy case at South Stokes in the lobby. You can purchase tickets in the main office and online through schoolcashonline at the school website. This week's Saura Shout Out goes to Angel King, Nate Maxwell, Matthew Marion, and Grayson Baumgartner. These students did the band a huge favor and helped us set up for the all county honor band performance last week. Thank you for your kindness and leadership. This week in Saura Sports, girls and boys basketball are home on Tuesday as we host county rivals, West Stokes. On Wednesday wrestling travels to Eastern Guilford High School. From South Stokes High School, I would like to wish every one in the Saura Nation a Happy Thanksgiving. Please take a moment to reflect and be thankful for our loved ones and the parts of our life that we are thankful for. I am thankful to be principal of such a wonderful school as South Stokes High School.
