Saura Weekly Update 10/2/23 - 10/6/23

Hello Sauras, this is your weekly update from South Stokes. Congratulations to our Homecoming Court last Friday night, and to our Homecoming Queen Korbyn Tyler, our Homecoming Princess Laci Morefield, and our Miss Congeniality Zaylie Overby. This week is bus ridership week. We encourage our bus riders to ride this week to help get an accurate number of bus riders we have on our buses. Monday night at 6:30 we will have an athletic boosters meeting in the cafeteria. On Tuesday during lunch we will be hosting our annual college fair at South Stokes. Please encourage our juniors and seniors to check out the different colleges if that is the pathway they would like to take after graduation. This week's Saura Shout Out goes to Sara Bingman. Sara noticed a freshman sitting by herself in the cafeteria, so she decided to sit with her and now they are good friends. Thank you for your kindness and leadership Sara. This week in Saura Sports, on Monday soccer hosts Alleghany, on Tuesday tennis travels to North Stokes and volleyball hosts East Surry. On Wednesday soccer hosts Mt. Airy and cross country travels to McMichael. On Thursday, tennis travels to Elkin, volleyball hosts Starmount, and JV football hosts Mt. Airy. On Friday, the football team will be traveling to Mt.
