Hello Sauras, this is your weekly update from South Stokes. Exams will begin this Friday, January 12th. During the exam period students are allowed to leave school after their exam for the day, however the buses will not dismiss until the end of the school day at 3:20. If your child is a bus rider and would like to leave after their exam, they will need a note giving them permission to ride home with another student or be picked up after their exam. Friday's exam is for first period exams, if your child is exempt from this exam, they do not need to attend. Students taking state required EOC and CTE tests cannot be exempt from exams. If you have any questions about exams and exemptions, please call the school or email me with any questions. On Tuesday there will be an Athletic Boosters meeting in the cafeteria at 6:30 pm. This week's Saura Shout Out goes to Alexis Smith. Alexis is always willing to help other classmates when they are in need. Thank you for your kindness and leadership. This week in Saura Sports, on Tuesday basketball travels to East Wilkes. On Wednesday wrestling will be at home and will be having Senior Night. On Friday the swim team will be competing at the Yadkin Family YMCA. On Saturday, South Stokes Men's Varsity basketball will be playing against Mount Tabor in the MLK Jr Classic at West Forsyth High School at 7:30.
