Hello Sauras, this is your weekly update from South Stokes. Tomorrow, January 30th report cards go out. We will have homeroom tomorrow to distribute report cards. 1/30/23 is also the first ACT Review Session, this one is for math. The ACT will be held in March, and is an important test for students wishing to go to college. It will be held in Room F6, from 3:30-4:30 and snacks will be provided. Students should bring paper, pencil, and a calculator. On Tuesday, January 31st there will be a Band Boosters meeting in the band room at 6:30pm. February 1st, we will be having FAFSA Night at South Stokes from 6:30-7:30 for our seniors and senior parents. Also on Wednesday from 3:30-4:30 we will be having our second ACT Review session in room C14 to review science. On Thursday we will be having our third ACT Review session in rm D7 from 3:30-4:30 with a focus on English. Our Athletic Boosters $10,000 Cash Drawing is currently selling tickets for $100. The money raised goes towards helping your all of our Saura Athletic teams. This week's Saura Shout Out goes Mrs. Sawyer Ferguson. Mrs. Ferguson is our Ag teacher at South, and has done a great job helping students learn more about Agricultural science. She also is the sponsor of the South Stokes FFA, our largest student organization, thank you Mrs. Ferguson. This week in Saura sports, on Tuesday Basketball is home against East Surry. On Wednesday Girls varsity basketball travels to Prep and on Friday basketball is home against Starmount. This Saturday the swim team goes to the regionals competition at Cary, NC.
