Saura Weekly Update 1/29/24-2/2/24

Hello Sauras, this is your weekly update from South Stokes. We will be having Homeroom on Monday to distribute report cards for the first semester. This week is Sweetheart Spirit Week! Monday is Love and Cuddles Pajama Day, Tuesday is We love our Decades Day, Wednesday is Pink Day, Thursday is Teacher/Student Swap Day and Friday is Teal Me your secrets Day. On Tuesday we will be having a Pep Rally to recognize our winter sports and the Sweetheart Court. Tuesday night the band boosters will be meeting in the band room at 6:30. On Friday some of our band students will be performing at the Yadkin Valley Honor Band performance at Elkin High School. Looking ahead, we will be having a Winter Formal at South Stokes on February 10th from 8-11. This formal is open to all students. Tickets cost $20 and can be purchased on schoolcashonline or in the front office. This week's Saura Shout Out goes to Keirstyn Herba. Kierstyn was showing a new student around the school and helping her find her classes on the first day of the new semester. Thank you for your kindness and leadership. This week in Saura Sports, on Tuesday basketball hosts Mt. Airy for our Sweetheart Court game. On Friday basketball hosts East Wilkes for Senior Night. Friday is also our Coaches vs Cancer Game. Donations to cancer research can be made online via schoolcashonline.
