Hello Sauras, this is your weekly update from South Stokes. I hope everyone has had a good Christmas Break and a Happy New Year. School will resume on Wednesday January 4th, 2023. Exams will begin next Friday, January 13th. During the exam period students are allowed to leave school after their exam for the day, however this year the buses will not dismiss until the end of the school day at 3:20. If your child is a bus rider and would like to leave after their exam, they will need a note giving them permission to ride home with another student, or be picked up after their exam. This week's Saura Shout Out goes to our
receptionist Cindy Mitchell and our school nurse Leann Miller. We are saying good bye to Mrs. Mitchell and Nurse Miller as they begin their retirement this week. We appreciate their hard work and dedication to South Stokes High School and our students, thank you. We welcome Mrs. Harriet Amos as our new receptionist and Ashley Haynes as our new school nurse. This week in Saura Sports, on Wednesday wrestling has a home match against Starmount. On Friday basketball travels to East Surry. This Saturday South Stokes will be hosting the Rick Williams Dual Tournament. Also on Saturday the indoor track team will also be competing.
